Representatives from Sierra Leone Football Association’s Media and Marketing Department, led by Ibrahim Kamara and Samuel Borbor Davies, were among ten chosen Member Associations in Africa for a prestigious 2-day training workshop in Digital Marketing Skills.
Held at FIFA Regional Headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda on December 18th and 19th, 2023, this workshop formed part of FIFA’s partnership with Coursera to empower global FA media.
The event’s inauguration was graced by Rwandan Football Association President Munyantwali Alphonse, FIFA’s Solomon Mudege, Ekta Hutton, FIFA Digital Skills Program Director, and Augustin Víllegas. Notably, Yvonne Namai Mukaban from CAF’s African Schools Programme participated as a special guest trainee.
Ekta Hutton applauded the hard work of all participants, emphasizing their associations’ qualification among Africa’s top ten outstanding MAs in FIFA’s Digital Marketing Skills Online Courses. She described the workshop as a pivotal step in embracing digital transformation.
The training, led by acclaimed Digital Marketing experts Andrew Davies and Mounia Wanzi, covered diverse facets of Digital Marketing, focusing on Content Creation, Distribution, Promotion, and Fan Engagement through trending marketing tools.
Two representatives from Sierra Leone, alongside other nations like Tanzania, Uganda, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Gabon, Guinea, and Rwanda, successfully completed the dynamic training.
