The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima has finally confirmed that the National Team, Leone Stars will play two friendly matches in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

BBC Journalist, Mohamed Fajah Barrie reports that Leone Stars will face Algeria’s Dexert Foxes in a friendly international match in Dubai on November 19 while an arrangement for a tier B friendly match are ongoing and may take place before Saturday.

This comes amidst wide criticism following report that the National Team, Leone Stars and SLFA officials had secretly travelled to Dubai.

It was reported that the team comprising sixteen foreign-based players and six home-based stars arrived at the Concorde Hotel in Fujairah over the weekend.

The matches are expected to be played before the opening of the World Cup 2022 which takes place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18
