The Vice President-1 of the Sierra Leone Football Association Harold Nat-Johnson today Monday July 25th, 2022 led a team of SLFA officials to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Kamara Esquire at their Wilkinson Road residence in Freetown.

Kamara who served as a member of the SLFA Ethics Board, passed away in the early hours of today after a short illness.

Also among the team of officials from SLFA were the Deputy General Secretary- Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Schools Football Program Manager- Samuel Borbor Davies and Protocol and Events Officer- Alusine Aiah Kabba.

In a brief consolatory statement, SLFA Vice President Harold Nat-Johnson said, ”As a football family we are emotionally depressed by this great loss. May this our visit and small token of solidarity support bring you comfort in this time of grief and bereavement.”

Vice President Nat-Johnson presented the package of financial support to the family through the former Ambassador to Ghana Ali Bangura who passed it on to the family.

Receiving the gesture on behalf of the family, Alusine Bangura, the younger brother of the late Alhaji Kamara, thanked the Sierra Leone Football Association immensely for showing solidarity, adding that, ”The thoughtfulness of the FA is a clear indication that my brother worked with good people and that his service to the country’s football is highly appreciated”. ”As a family, we are highly appreciative and grateful.” He said.
