Reports reaching the New Age has indicted both the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima and the National Sports Authority (NSA) Director, Kenneth Brima of a corrupt move.

That the sum of Le683,250,000 has been withdrawn by the SLFA from the Government of Sierra Leone FA Cup Account at the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB).

That the Director of Sports authorized for the disbursement of the sum of Le720,000,000 which was approved by the President Bio led administration for the aborted FA Cup competition 2019.

That the Finance Officer of the Football Association (FA), Ibrahim Bah has made at least two (2) withdrawals just within the month of December of this year.

That his first withdrawal was made on the pretext of covering expenses for accommodation and COVID-19 activities and that no reason was given for the second withdrawal.

That in 2019, the sum of Le720,000,000 was approved by the government for the SLFA when the country was suspended by FIFA based on alleged political interference.

That as it now stands, the amount remaining in the account is Le35,728,000.

Efforts made to reach the Head of Media at the SLFA, Ibrahim Kamara proved fruitless.

He asked to be called again when called as at press time and failed to respond to his second call and a text message.
