It is for certain that Bo people and Sierra Leoneans are eagerly waiting for the  Southern Arena Stadium which is to host 6,000 spectators. As the project continues, Sierraloaded brings you the current status of the said stadium.

The project has been a fruitful project this far. This is because, when it started, there were thoughts of impossibility chances to materialise the Stadium. To some, the seemed to difficult for the Executive Chairman of Bo Rangers FC, Babadi Kamara to solely brings his dream to reality.

According to one Babadi’s interviews, he disclosed that he knew his financial investment to the Stadium cannot be easily recovered by him, but that he wanted to leave a legacy for Sierra Leoneans, Bo Rangers FC and Bo people.

“…to contribute to societal development, develop new players and improve on existing young football stars in the country and to explore their potentials..” Babadi Kamara disclosed the reason among others for taking such a huge monetary projects.

Ahead of the Nations Cup Qualifiers 2023, it is per plan that the Southern Arena Stadium will serve as a backup to the National Stadium to host home matches. Bo Rangers FC Premier League home matches are definitely going to be hosted in this Stadium.

Few days ago, artificial turf was installed on the football pitch. When pictures of this event was ongoing, it was joyous moment for long awaited having to know that the Stadium is at its final stage.

At the time of this writing, the installation of the artificial turf in the stadium has been completed, seats all installed and ready. On the pictures that are making rounds on the media, a night test of the look of Stadium was done with the name “SOUTHERN ARENA STADIUM” beautifully lit and attractive.

From the look of things and sourcing from our sources, this clearly indicates that the Southern Arena Stadium will be completed before or by the end of December this year.
