Central One Football Association (COFA) sponsored community tournament at the Parade grounds named President Bio’s trophy is set to grace it’s grand final match on Sunday 18th December, 2022.

The said tournament kick-off The First Lady, Madam Fatima Bio on 4th September, 2022, took the Kick-offs of the Maada Bio trophy which is also sponsored by Mohamed Gento Kamara, Freetown city Mayor aspirant for 2023 General Elections.

The tournament is a 80,000,000 Leones worth competition proudly sponsored by President Julius Maada Bio in collaboration with the Gento group of companies which has attracted 32 communities across Freetown to maintain peace within the communities.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was between Fourah Bah Community a team from the East End of Freetown and Summer City, a team from the central part of the city.

The competition had been intense since September as teams battle for such a huge amount of money as the grand price plus hidden surprises that might be given after the competition to the well deserved players and teams.

After almost three months of intense football, Summer City Community FC narrowly qualified after a controversial match with Foulah Tong Community that resulted the intervention of COFA executive board members decision.
After the said issue being scrutinized and the body reached to a conclusion, Summer City were awarded 3 points and totally qualified to the grand finale scheduled on the 18th December, 2022 with Kroo Town Road Community FC.
COFA Grand final match is scheduled to be hosted at the Parade playing field, Circular Road Freetown.
