Sierra Leone Drawn Against Senegal, Mauritania and Guinea-Bissau in WAFU U-20 Tournament
Sierra Leone’s national Under-20 men’s football team, the Shooting Stars, has been drawn in Group B alongside Senegal, Mauritania and Guinea-Bissau for the upcoming WAFU Zone A U-20 Tournament in Mali.
The regional competition brings together Under-20 national teams from the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone A, with teams competing for the regional title and qualification opportunities for continental competitions.
The Shooting Stars will face Senegal in the group stage before taking on Mauritania and Guinea-Bissau as they seek to progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.
The competition also serves as an important platform for emerging players across the sub-region and is linked to qualification for the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sierra Leone’s technical team will now prepare the squad for the group-stage fixtures as the Shooting Stars look to make a strong start to their campaign in Mali.
