Gandi William’s Brace Fires Vice President’s Office into Inter-MDA Next Round
Ron Gandi William delivered a match-winning performance on Thursday evening, scoring twice to send the defending champions, the Office of the Vice President (OVP), into the next round of the Inter-Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) Football Competition with a 2-0 victory over the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
William set the tone early at the National Stadium Practice Field, opening the scoring in the 8th minute before doubling OVP’s advantage in the 27th minute. His two first-half goals gave the defending champions control of their Group D encounter and ultimately proved enough to secure all three points.
With a two-goal cushion at half-time, OVP focused on protecting their advantage after the restart as the ACC stepped up their attacking efforts in search of a comeback.

The ACC created several opportunities and applied pressure in the second half but could not find a way past the OVP defence. The defending champions held firm until the final whistle to seal the victory and confirm their progression to the next stage of the competition.
In the other Group D fixture, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and the Bank of Sierra Leone (BSL) shared the points following a goalless draw.
EPA produced several promising attacking moves but failed to convert their chances, while BSL maintained a disciplined defensive shape to keep their opponents from scoring.

The draw left both sides with a point each, while OVP’s victory and William’s decisive brace made them the standout performers in Thursday’s Group D action.
