Hellas Verona’s forward Yayah Kallon has finally met with former Inter Milan attacking midfielder and Leone Stars captain, Mohamed Kallon in Italy.
Yayah Kallon currently serves as a reminder of Mohamed Kallon in the Italian Serie A League as they carry the same surname.
Mohamed Kallon is currently the coach of FC Kallon in Italy. He is with his U-19 boys in Italy to participate in the 2023 Viareggio Cup. Yayah use this opportunity to present his jersey to the coach as a sign of respect and acknowledgment of his role in the development of Sierra Leone football
Yayah was hailed from Koidu, Eastern Sierra Leone but started his professional career at Serie D side, Savona. A year later he attracted the attention of Genoa due to his strength and agility.
The 21-year-old striker scored his first goal for Genoa in 2021 Coppa Italia wins over Perugia after making his debut in Serie A that same season.
The striker is currently on loan to Serie A side, Hellas Verona with an option to sign a permanent deal with the Venetian team.
Kallon’s allegiance to Sierra Leone was confirmed earlier this week when he met with Leone Stars legend, Mohamed Kallon and his team FC Kallon in Viareggio.
