The erstwhile Chairman and Leader of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has finally addressed his people on the rumours that the APC will not be able to contest in the 24th June, 2023 multitier elections. (mypatraining.com)

Recently speaking to members of the party and the grassroots supporters in his hometown Makeni in the Northeast Region, former President Ernest Bai Koroma pleaded with them to be calm and patience with everything that is being going on and told them to be rest assured that come June 2023, they will reap the benefit of their patience with celebrations.

The former president continued that with everything that has been going on they have been delayed to have their lower-level elections but notwithstanding that, they will get their flagbearer by February 2023.

According to him, “They have delayed us, if we take it by calculations, it will be February that we will have our flagbearer.”

Former President Koroma therefore asked the people to be patient and assured that the SLPP don’t have the power to stop them from choosing who they want as flagbearer.

He added that even if they get their flagbearer in May, the APC will win and that is just a waste of time to attempt to fight with them.

“Be rest assured that it is a waste of time, whatever we want, whoever the people want is who we will choose,” erstwhile President Koroma said.

He furthered that some people are saying that they will convict some of the members of the APC but that is not going to happen because they will not succeed to criminalize their people hence, they are not criminals.

Former President Koroma reminded them that they have been law abiding, saying the fact that they have been accepting rulings shows that they are now law abiding but that does not mean they are gong to succumb to injustice.

He concluded, “We are gong to say no to an outside dictatorship agency to the APC, Justice is what we fight for and we are going to fight for it in accordance with the laws of the land.”
