Parliament Reacts to Parliamentary Calendar Trending on Social Media
The Directorate of Legislative Services, Parliament of Sierra Leone has in a Press release announced that the recent parliamentary calendar trending on social media is unconfirmed and fake.
“The Directorate of Legislative Services, Parliament of Sierra Leone has been informed about an unconfirmed parliamentary calendar trending on social media. The Directorate wishes it to be known that the said parliamentary calendar is unconfirmed and it is of no effect.” It wrote.
The Directorate informed the public that it is ONLY the Clerk of Parliament that has the authority to produce and circulate calendar for Parliament after consultation with the Speaker and the Executive Arm of Government.
It therefore, advised the general public to frown at this widely circulated unconfirmed parliamentary calendar which is deemed fake.
So when parliament is going to open ?
