Information Ministry Releases Official Memo Sent From ICC to President Bio
Mohamed Foday Conteh The Ministry of Information and Civic Education has released the official memo inviting President Julius Maada Bio to the ICC in The Hague.
The Ministry’s Strategic Communications Unit shared the letter in a tweet on Thursday, August 24. The official memo indicated that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss Sierra Leone’s position as a non-permanent member in the UN Security Council.
If the request is granted, Bio would hold bi-lateral talks with President of the ICC, Karim Khan on the role of Sierra Leone in contributing to global peace.
Minister Bah’s confirmation of the memo came hours after it was being rumoured that the President has been invited to The Hague. The rumour, however, was focused on issues related to human rights violations that could have been committed by Bio’s administration.
Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesman, Solomon Jamiru said the invitation by the ICC “Sierra Leone now has a voice at the highest level of world politics”.

Whatever that is hidden from the people of Sierra Leone will surely come to light one day. No information minister in the world will expose or bring out the wrongs of their government. They made a promise of keeping the bad information secret or private from the general public. They tell the people what they want the people to know and not what the people want to know.

I only wish the ICC is not trying to tie us with our own rope as the whites are trying to colonize Africa for the second time. Just consider what is going on right now in Niger for their resources (uranium). Some of us have negative thinking about our leaders the letter speak for himself just because your party is not in power that means you should think negatively can someone tell me what president Bio did that is against human right ?
This ICC invitation to our President it’s just to show how positive Sierra Leone is moving.But some stupid bloggers are contradicting them selves.Sierra Leone is bigger than any politicians or political parties, please you bloggers stop manipulating your self.
APC bloggers and their stupid politicians have nothing good in their minds for that country but God will put them to shame for the past five years they have bing supporting Adebayor and some other youths to create unrest in that country and now their prayers is bring setbacks in the country all they wish for now is international community to band Sierra Leone just because they failed to win elections but God will put more shame on them
