President Bio Appoints New Chief of Staff
President Julius Maada Bio has appoints Major Retired, Abdul Kargbo as The Chief of Staff for the Executive Office of the President, State House, Freetown.
The new chief of Staff is expected to bring extensive experience to bear in managing the Executive Office of the President, supporting the efficient and optimum delivery of His Excellency’s daily governance-related programs.
In appointing Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo , Presiden Bio stated, “I am pleased to appoint Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo. Major Rtd. Kargbo, a seasoned and respected professional, will provide technical and operational support to the Front Office, ensuring strategic focus and reinforcing compliance and accountability.”
While expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo said, “I am humbled, motivated, and grateful to His Excellency President Bio for offering me this opportunity to continue to serve SierraLeone in this role. I look forward to using my experience and creativity to support the President in advancing his national development vision to the best of my abilities.”
Major Rtd. Abdul Sheku Kargbo is a retired Major from the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces and was the Executive Director of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
He holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Warwick, UK, an LLM in International Business Law, Birmingham City University, UK and an MA in Human Rights, Globalization and Justice, University of Keele, UK.
