Sierra Leone Government Adjusts Curfew Hours
Julius Mustapha Harding The Ministry of Information and Civic Education issued a public notice on December 11, 2023, announcing a revision in the curfew hours.
The revised curfew will be effective starting from today, Monday, December 11, 2023. The new curfew hours are set to begin at 12:00 am (midnight) and conclude at 6:00 am.
This adjustment comes in the wake of an improving security situation within the region. The Ministry expressed gratitude to the public for their ongoing cooperation during these challenging times. Special acknowledgment was given to those individuals who have played a vital role in providing information and support in the ongoing efforts to identify and bring to justice those responsible for the failed coup and other atrocities that occurred on November 26th, 2023.
The public is urged to remain vigilant in the face of evolving circumstances and is encouraged to promptly report any suspicious activities to the police. The government emphasizes the importance of collective awareness and cooperation in maintaining and further enhancing the current positive trajectory in security.
