Former President Koroma’s Daughter Identified Among Wanted Fugitives
Binta Koroma The daughter of Former President Ernest Bai Koroma, Ms Dankay Koroma has been named among the declared wanted fugitives in the list updated by the Sierra Leone Police.
The updated list was released today by the Sierra Leone Police in relation to failed attempted coup on November 26th, 2023.
Dankay fled Sierra Leone after the 2018 elections following allegations of her involvement in the death of journalist, Ibrahim Samura. A jury returned a verdict of not guilty in the murder case in 2021 and two persons who were standing trial were acquitted and discharged.
According to reports, Ms Koroma is currently residing in the UK.
Her father, the former president, about five days ago, was also summoned by the police to its headquarters for questioning on the same failed coup attempt.
His summon follows the arrest of his former security guard, Amadu Koita, who is still held in police custody.
The development arose from the attack launched by dozens of gunmen on Nov. 26 in Sierra Leone’s capital of Freetown during which the Sierra Leone’s key armory and the Pademba Road prison were broken into.
The attack led to the death of about 18 servicemen and more than 2,000 prisoners set free.
The police have arrested over 50 suspects, including military officers and declared dozens wanted.

Wow irrespective of the family of the former president of the state and his daughter in this matter something must happen but praise and thanks to the SLP for the good work done honestly the sierra Leone police are really trying and the copse is really fighting against them we pray for the truth and the truth shall prevail
But the question here now is that this woman is living in UK and how the sierra Leone police are going to track her to Sierra Leone and how was she involved into this matter and it’s disheartened but all the best I wish you all the best in this matter the SLP

This government is not serious
The truth shall prevail. The SLP please do your work. Those who want to out our nation in danger all with right justice.
I just don’t know why this government is not thinking straight, or they are not advising themselves accordingly, or someone is not listening to advice.
What in a situation where change of Government will happen tomorrow, will they like the same thing to happen to them, can us as a nation Choose Peace or Enmities.
Why is dankay, she’s a politician? or because of her father he’s the former president of Sierra Leone that’s why they include her name on the wanted list?
Let the law take it course
