Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary Leads Forest Hike to Mount Gabon
Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, has organized a forest hike to Mount Gabon.
This initiative brings together participants, including international tourists and representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs in an effort to increase sensitization and environmental awareness in Sierra Leone,
The three-hour hike offered participants an immersive experience into Sierra Leone’s rich biodiversity and the country’s ongoing conservation efforts.
The event featured an educational discussion about the wildlife sanctuaries in Sierra Leone, highlighting the elephants and hippopotamuses of Outamba Kilimi National Park.
Participants encountered diverse flora and fauna, including Daniella trees, snakes, and butterflies, while gaining valuable insights into the efforts being made to protect wildlife conservation.
