PHOTOS: President Bio And First Lady Fatima Arrive in Istanbul For Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit
Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady, Fatima Bio has arrived in Istanbul, Turkey in the early hours of Saturday, 18th December, 2021 on the invitation of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, to attend the the third Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit.
The Summit, which starts tomorrow, 18th December 2021, is expected to adopt the Turkey-Africa Partnership Joint Action Plan 2021-2026.
The Plan contains concrete actions under five strategic cooperation areas: 1) Peace, Security and Governance (2) Trade Investment and Industry (3) Education, STI skills, Youth and Women Development (4) Infrastructure Development and Agriculture; and (5) Promoting Resilient Health Systems.
H.E the President will be accompanied by the First Lady, Madam Fatima Bio. President Julius Maada Bio is expected to return to Sierra Leone on Monday 20th December, 2021.
