Thomas Daddy Brima, the incumbent President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), has been disqualified from seeking re-election in the upcoming August 2nd polls.
His name was conspicuously absent from the final list of candidates released for the election.
The list, which has been circulated but not yet formally announced on the SLFA’s official media platforms, also shows the disqualification of Ms. Aminata Bangura, the sole female candidate. No reasons for these disqualifications have been provided by the SLFA.
Sources close to Ms. Bangura indicate that her representatives intend to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Thomas Daddy Brima was not immediately available for comment regarding his disqualification.
The leaked list identifies the following candidates for the various positions:

- KASHIO JOSEPH HOLLAND COLE
- MOHAMED SORIE JALLOH
- MUSA KOMRABAI DURA MAHMOOD
The list bears the signature of Abu-Bakarr Sheriff, Chairman of the Ethics Committee.

How can you disqualify an individual from contesting without explaining clear reasons? I think the ACC should pay close attention to the entire process
