Sierra Leone’s Energy Lead, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, has sent a message of condolences to the bereaved families of the Sierra Leone People Party [SLPP], who lost their lives in a road accident on Saturday, July 19, on their way to the province for party activities.

Yumkella said the passing of their party members is not only a loss to their families but to the SLPP family and the nation at large.

It was confirmed that four members of the SLPP lost their lives in an accident while they were on the campaign trial for their National Delegates Conference, along the Waterloo-Masiaka highway, including the Chairman of Constituency 122.

“I have received with deep sadness the heartbreaking news of the passing of some of our Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) members who tragically lost their lives en route to the provinces yesterday.

On behalf of myself and all those who share in this sorrow, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to our great party as a whole. This is a profound loss, not only to their loved ones but to the SLPP family and the nation at large.

May their souls rest in perfect peace, and may the Almighty grant comfort, strength, and healing to all those affected during this difficult.”
