Sierra Leonean striker Musa Noah Kamara, widely known as Musa Tombo, has reportedly terminated his contract with Tunisian club CS Sfaxien just weeks after signing.
This development is reportedly attributed to an undisclosed FIFA ban on the club.
Sources close to Kamara indicate that his decision to leave CS Sfaxien was not arbitrary. Upon signing with the club, Kamara believed all contractual matters were in order. However, it soon became apparent that CS Sfaxien was facing issues with FIFA. The club reportedly attempted to resolve the problem quietly, even after Kamara’s arrival, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
When FIFA intervened, CS Sfaxien allegedly asked Kamara to remain with the team while they worked to sort out the ban, promising to continue paying him despite his inability to play immediately. Kamara, however, was unwilling to be sidelined indefinitely in an uncertain situation and opted to terminate his contract.
Others sources who have closely followed Musa’s career, affirmed the news of the contract termination. However, clarified that the issue was not a club ban related to CS Sfaxien, but rather a personal decision by Kamara.
Just six days prior, Musa Noah Kamara had departed Sierra Leone for Tunisia with the expectation of completing a medical examination and signing a potential three-year contract with CS Sfaxien.
As of now, Club Sportif Sfaxien has not issued any public statement regarding the details of Kamara’s transfer or the alleged termination of his contract, nor have they addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding an unresolved FIFA ban that reportedly prevents them from registering new players.
