“It Was Purely Coincidental That I Met Them There And They Requested a Photo” – Minister of Information Admits Meeting LAC
Mohamed Alim Conteh The Minster of Information and Communication, Honourable Mohamed Rahman Swaray has stated that, his picture with Baimba Moiforay popularly known as LAC was coincidental.
He added that the picture was taken in the Attorney General’s parlour in Taima where he stopped over to pay a courtesy call to AG Anthony Brewah. The Minister admitted that he met them and they requested a photo with him which he can’t reject.
President Bio yesterday revoked the presidential pardon that was granted to LAC on January 1st and announced that an investigation will be instituted.
The Minister broke silence after a picture of him and the convicted murderer surfaced on social media which brought an alarm to the country.
“My attention has been drawn to this photo which was taken in the AG’s parlour in Tiama where I had stopped over to pay him a courtesy call as I usually do when passing through Tiama. I have never met LAC before, let alone have any dealings with him. It was purely coincidental that I met them there and they requested a photo opp which politicians hardly reject”. He stated.
