The Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq., has announced plans to install artificial turf at the Kailahun Field, fulfilling a promise he made to the people of the district four years ago.
Dr. Abdulai recalled that his commitment to rehabilitate the field was made two years before he entered public office and three years before he ventured into politics.
“I promised the people of Kailahun that I would fix the field. Today, I am immensely proud that the first container of artificial turf has arrived in Kailahun. This progress is a partial fulfillment of that promise, and I am grateful to President Bio for appointing me to develop sports,” he said.
The NSA boss emphasized his determination to extend similar developments across the country, pledging to work with stakeholders in other districts to ensure artificial turfs are provided where they are lacking.

He also called for unity in supporting the growth of football in Sierra Leone.
“Let us set aside political rivalry, party colors, or disagreements, and join hands to transform football in our birthplace. Let’s go Football, Sierra Leoneans, and Sierra Leone,” Dr. Abdulai urged.
