The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has announced the return of the National Civic Day Series, a government initiative aimed at strengthening citizen engagement, dialogue, and accountability in governance.
Speaking at the Ministry’s weekly press conference, Minister Bah said the first session of the series will be held on 15th and 16th September 2025 in Bombali District, Makeni.
The two-day event will bring together government ministers, community leaders, and local stakeholders to engage directly with citizens on issues of governance and development.
The Minister further disclosed that the National Civic Festival will also make a comeback in December 2025.
The festival, which will span three days, is expected to feature a rich blend of cultural exhibitions, a trade fair, national dialogue sessions, debates, and musical performances. The specific dates for the festival will be announced in the coming weeks.
According to Minister Bah, both initiatives are designed to deepen civic awareness, promote transparency, and build stronger connections between citizens and their government.
