Sierra Leone’s Chief Justice, Honourable Komba Kamanda, has joined 54 counterparts at the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges’ Association (CMJA) 20th Triennial Conference in The Gambia.
The conference, held under the theme “Combating Corruption and Promoting Accountability in the Judicial Sector,” brings together judicial leaders from across the Commonwealth to share best practices and strategies for strengthening judicial independence.
Chief Justice Kamanda said the lessons gained would support reforms and capacity-building in Sierra Leone’s judiciary, ensuring that “justice is not only done, but seen to be done.”
The conference runs from September 21 to 26, 2025.
