Representatives from FIFA’s Africa Office, including El Hadji Wack Diop, Head of the Office, and Fatou Camara, Development Manager, have commenced a three-day induction meeting with the newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, alongside his Executive Committee and management staff.

Held at the SLFA Secretariat in Freetown, the meeting aims to familiarize the new leadership with FIFA’s operational frameworks and development priorities, with a focus on the FIFA Forward 3.0 program. This initiative seeks to strengthen football development through increased investment, measurable impact, and transparent use of funds.

FIFA Finance Consultant Light Congomanyi also contributed guidance on financial governance and accountability. Discussions covered financial governance, FIFA Forward objectives, regional office roles, procurement, conflict-of-interest management, and subsidy guidelines.

The induction will conclude on Wednesday, 24 September, with a field visit to the ongoing modernization works at the SLFA Technical Center, a key football infrastructure project in Sierra Leone.
