Following directives from AIG Brima Kanneh, the Regional Operations Team, under the leadership of Superintendent John S. Koroma, intensified efforts on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, to combat lawlessness and disorder along key junctions in Freetown-East.
The operation targeted critical areas such as Up Gun, Ferry Junction, Shell New Road, and Jui Junction.
The focus was on removing illegal occupiers from road reserves and right-of-way spaces, including traders, kekeh drivers, and bike riders, whose presence had been obstructing traffic and compromising public safety.
Throughout the operation, police officials reassured community members that the force remains committed to enforcing discipline and upholding the law.
They also announced plans for similar enforcement actions to be carried out in other parts of Freetown-East in the coming weeks, aligning with AIG Kanneh’s goal of enhancing safety, order, and discipline across the region.
