The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has completed a four-day induction program with officials from FIFA’s Africa Office.
The sessions, held from September 22 to 25 in Freetown, were aimed at familiarizing the newly elected SLFA leadership with FIFA’s project funding mechanisms and administrative procedures.
The program was led by El Hadji Wack Diop, Head of FIFA’s Africa Office, and Fatou Camara, FIFA Development Manager. Key discussions centered on the FIFA Forward Program and the Contract of Agreed Objectives mechanisms through which FIFA supports national football associations in areas of infrastructure, governance, and development.

During their visit, the FIFA delegation also inspected ongoing upgrade works at the SLFA Technical Center, which is being funded through FIFA support.
At the closing debrief, Mr. Diop commended the SLFA Executive Committee for its professionalism and expressed confidence in the new leadership’s ability to improve football governance and development in Sierra Leone.

SLFA President Babadi Kamara thanked the FIFA officials for their engagement and pledged to manage all funds from FIFA and other partners prudently to ensure sustainable growth of football in the country.
