EU Launches 2025 Bus Tour to Showcase Development Projects Across Sierra Leone

The European Union Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Jacek Jankowski, together with the German Embassy, the Embassy of Ireland in Sierra Leone, and the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development, officially launched the 2025 EU Bus Tour on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Freetown, taking Team Europe “to the people.”

From September 29 to October 3, the tour will cover Kambia, Tonkolili, Kono, and Kenema districts, highlighting EU-supported projects and the impact they have made on local communities under the #GlobalGateway strategy.

According to the program, the bus will visit Kambia on Monday, September 29; Kambia and Makeni on Tuesday, September 30; Makeni and Koidu on Wednesday, October 1; Koidu and Kenema on Thursday, October 2; and conclude in Kenema on Friday, October 3.

The initiative aims to showcase EU-sponsored projects as part of a broader commitment to sustainable investments that foster lasting connections, drive economic growth, and benefit Sierra Leonean communities.
