The Sierra Leone U-17 National Boys’ Team has today departed Freetown for Bamako, Mali, to participate in the CAF U-17 African Nations Cup Qualifiers (WAFU Zone A) scheduled for 6th – 18th October 2025.
The young Leone Stars will kick off their campaign on Monday, 6th October 2025, when they face Senegal in their opening fixture.
The Sierra Leone delegation is headed by Mohamed Sorie Jalloh, Executive Committee Member of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), alongside technical, medical, and administrative staff who will support the team throughout the tournament.

This competition serves as the qualification pathway to the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, and Sierra Leone’s boys will be aiming to make the nation proud with a strong performance in Mali.
The SLFA wishes the players and officials the very best as they represent Sierra Leone on the regional stage.
