Residents of Ropolon, Makeni, turned out in large numbers on September 30, 2025, to celebrate Adamasay Davida Sesay, affectionately known as “T-Mama,” following her triumph with the Sierra Leone U-17 girls’ national team, the Sierra Starlets, at the WAFU Zone A Tournament in Liberia.
The midfielder, born in Ropolon, played a key role in the Starlets’ maiden tournament victory, helping the team secure three wins and a draw in four matches. Her performance has earned her recognition as one of Sierra Leone’s rising football talents.

The homecoming was marked by drums, brass bands, and jubilant chants as the community expressed pride in T-Mama’s achievement. Makeni Deputy Mayor Ibrahim Nelson joined the festivities, congratulating the young footballer on her outstanding accomplishment.
In a brief statement, T-Mama expressed gratitude to her family, club, the government, and the U-17 technical team for their support. She also thanked the community for their unwavering encouragement throughout her journey.

The celebration highlighted not only T-Mama’s personal success but also the spirit and pride of Ropolon as a community that nurtures talent and champions grassroots football excellence.
