The Port Loko District community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of Mr. Sheku Tejan Saccoh, the Chairman of the Port Loko District Council.

The sad news was officially announced by the Public Relations Officer of the Port Loko District branch of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mr. Omega Sesay, who described the late chairman’s death as a great loss to the district and the party at large.

“On behalf of the Port Loko District APC family, we are deeply saddened to announce the death of Sheku Tejan Saccoh, Chairman of the Port Loko District Council. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement read.

Mr. Saccoh was widely known for his commitment to community development, grassroots leadership, and dedication to public service. During his tenure as Council Chairman, he championed several local initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, sanitation, and youth empowerment in the district.

Residents and colleagues have taken to various platforms to express their condolences, describing him as a visionary leader, a humble public servant, and a pillar of unity in Port Loko’s local governance.

The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
