Sierra Leone’s Chief Justice, His Lordship Honourable Justice Komba Kamanda, has assigned seven Judges and four Magistrates in the Western Area, along with all Judges and Magistrates in the Provinces, to speedily handle matters related to drugs and drug-related offences.

The directive, announced through a public notice issued by the Deputy Master and Registrar of the High Court, Mrs. Hulaimatu F. Christian-Moses, is part of the Judiciary’s continued reforms to strengthen efficiency and ensure the timely delivery of justice.

As part of the new measures, the Chief Justice has also extended court sittings to include Saturdays, allowing for faster adjudication of drug-related cases and a reduction in pending matters.

The Judiciary of Sierra Leone reaffirmed its commitment to promoting swift, fair, and transparent justice through ongoing reforms aimed at improving service delivery across the country.
