The Rutile Police Division Patrol Team, led by ASP Lansana Amara (Operations Officer), has intensified its anti-narcotics operations with two successful raids at identified Kush hotspots in the Lower Banta Chiefdom, Moyamba District, and the Imperi Chiefdom, Bonthe District, Southern Sierra Leone.
The operation led to the arrest of four suspects found in possession of multiple wraps of Kush, Cannabis Sativa, and Tramadol.
According to police reports, one of the suspects, Abu Maxwell Bockarie, a known drug dealer residing in Matagelema Town, Lower Banta Chiefdom, Moyamba District, was arrested on Friday, 31st October 2025, after officers discovered twenty wraps of Kush in his residence. Another suspect, Charles J. Harding, of the same address, was also apprehended with two wraps of Kush.
In a separate raid, Alfred Renner was arrested in possession of 386 wraps of Cannabis Sativa at a ghetto in Gbagbatihun Section, Lower Banta Chiefdom, while Mohamed Bundu was nabbed at the Moriba Town Market Junction, Imperi Chiefdom, with 162 capsules suspected to be Tramadol.
Police confirmed that all four suspects have been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Rutile Police Division for further investigation.
