Two men have been arrested in Makeni in connection with the possession of suspected illicit drugs, police sources have confirmed.
The arrest was carried out on Thursday, 18 December 2025, by the Operations Officer of the Makeni Police Division, Inspector Ibrahim Kaba Conteh, and his team. The suspects were identified as Saidu Koroma of No. 54 Rogbaneh Road, Makeni, and Ibrahim Abu of the Rokel Area, Makeni.
According to police, the suspects were apprehended during an operation and taken to the Makeni Police Station. During the arrest, officers recovered four hundred (400) wraps of a substance suspected to be Kush, along with a quantity of dried leaves also believed to be Kush.
Police said both suspects and the recovered exhibits are currently in custody at the Makeni Police Station as investigations continue.
