Thursday, 15th January 2026: The Sierra Leone Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Momodu Koroma, hosted prominent Sierra Leonean media personalities at the Embassy in Rabat on Thursday, in a warm and cordial gathering.

The visit included two journalists, Mohamed Fajah Barrie and Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, who are in Morocco covering the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations. During the courtesy call, the Ambassador welcomed them into his office, expressing his happiness to receive representatives of the Sierra Leonean press.

Recalling his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Koroma emphasized the important role that the media played in supporting his work during those days. He commended the journalists for visiting the Embassy and highlighted the strategic importance of media in fostering understanding and engagement between Sierra Leone and Morocco.

Ambassador Koroma also praised the initiative of President Julius Maada Bio in establishing the Sierra Leone Embassy in Morocco, describing it as a timely and strategic move to strengthen bilateral relations and promote Sierra Leone’s interests in the region.

The visit provided an opportunity for dialogue on the role of the media in international relations and strengthened ties between Sierra Leonean journalists and the diplomatic mission in Morocco.
