The European Union (EU) Delegation in Sierra Leone has expressed strong support for the Sierra Leone Parliament’s Strategic Plan 2025–2030, presented today at the parliamentary precinct alongside other international partners.
The plan, unveiled by Hon. Speaker Segepoh S. Thomas, Clerk of Parliament Kemoh Konteh, and senior management, outlines the institution’s vision and priorities for the next five years. It emphasizes strengthening legislative processes, promoting good governance, and enhancing the Parliament’s role in advancing democracy.
During the event, the EU reiterated its commitment to supporting the Parliament as a cornerstone of representative democracy and a key instrument for effective governance. The delegation praised the roadmap for its focus on transparency, accountability, and capacity building within the legislative body.
The launch of the 2025–2030 roadmap marks a critical step in positioning the Parliament as a modern, accountable, and effective institution, backed by sustained collaboration with international partners.
