Sierra Leone international midfielder Alusine Koroma has officially signed for Athletic Club Torrellano, providing a significant boost to the Valencian side competing in Spain’s Tercera RFEF (Tercera Federación).
The 25-year-old joins Torrellano after departing Orihuela CF, where he had recently become a free agent.
Club sources have described the move as a strategic acquisition aimed at strengthening the team’s midfield as the 2025/26 season approaches its decisive phase.
Koroma is expected to bring experience, tactical awareness, and stability to the squad at the Campo Municipal Isabel Fernández.
Known for his technical ability, stamina, and consistent work rate, the midfielder has spent the past four years developing within the Spanish football system.
His career in Spain has included spells with Real Balompédica Linense, where he broke into the first team, as well as a productive loan period at UD San Pedro that contributed to his progression. He later featured for Vélez CF and Orihuela CF, competing across both the Segunda Federación and Tercera Federación levels.
At international level, Koroma is an established member of the Sierra Leone national team, the Leone Stars, with more than 15 senior caps. He has represented the country in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and FIFA World Cup qualification matches, experience that is expected to add leadership and composure to Torrellano’s squad.
Athletic Club Torrellano reportedly fended off interest from other clubs, including UD Torre del Mar, to secure Koroma’s signature.
Football analysts have highlighted his familiarity with the Spanish style of play as a key factor in the club’s decision.
“Alusine is a player who understands the Spanish game perfectly.
His ability to move the ball and adapt to the tempo of play makes him an immediate asset,” a local analyst noted following the announcement.
Koroma’s arrival underlines Torrellano’s ambition to remain competitive in the Tercera RFEF, as the club looks to consolidate its position and push for positive results in the remainder of the season.
