Athletic Torrellano has mutually terminated the contract of Sierra Leone international Alusine Koroma following a serious knee injury sustained during a training session.
Koroma joined the Spanish club in 2024 after being signed from Sierra Leone, where his pace and attacking flair earned him national team recognition and attracted interest from abroad. He was recruited as part of Torrellano’s plans to strengthen their attacking options and quickly became a fan favourite before injury struck.
Despite the termination of his contract, the club has confirmed it will continue to support Koroma throughout his rehabilitation, underlining a rare commitment to player welfare.
The injury represents a major setback for the player. However, those close to Koroma remain confident that this is only a pause and not the end of his football journey.
