The Metro Transport Company, operators of Waka Fine buses, has announced an increase in bus fares from Le 8 to NLe 12, effective Friday, January 30, 2026.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, January 29, 2026, the company said the adjustment has become necessary due to rising operational costs, which have affected the sustainability of its transport services.
According to the company’s management, the new fare represents the minimum increase required to enable continued provision of safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for passengers.
The company assured its valued customers and the general public of its commitment to maintaining quality service delivery, despite prevailing economic challenges.
Metro Transport Company also thanked passengers for their understanding and continued support.
