The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has visited the Inter-Party Committee (IPC) of The Gambia as part of a weeklong study tour.
The Chairman of the PPRC, Abdulai Masiyambay Bangura said that one of the purpose of the visit is for them to replicate the success of the IPC in Sierra Leone when they returned.
The Chairman said they are in The Gambia to learn from the IPC from their success in their much contested elections and how they were able to manage the situation.
He said that he admired the non-partisan mentality of IPC members in The Gambia.

The PPRC was transformed into a regulation Commission of political parties. Their new act has given the commission more powers to ameliorate inter and intra-party issues.
This development has been welcomed by some locals as the party sets for the June 2023 elections.
