A man identified as Alpha Sesay has been reportedly committed to the High Court following his appearance before the Magistrate Court in Port Loko on Monday, 16th February 2026.
Sesay is facing three-count charges, including unlawful possession of prohibited drugs, selling unlawful drugs, and keeping drugs without lawful authority.
According to court proceedings, the accused was apprehended on Friday, 16th January 2026, at Gberay Junction in Port Loko with substances suspected to be tramadol.
Presiding Magistrate Patrick Fofana, after reviewing the evidence presented before the court, committed the matter to the High Court for further trial, which is expected to commence on 16th March 2026.
The accused was remanded pending his appearance before the High Court.
