Tragedy at Mange Bureh has reportedly hit the Sierra Leone Police force following a devastating incident at the Mange Bureh Police Checkpoint, where a female officer lost her life in the line of duty.
The Woman Police Constable (WPC) Jenneh Mansaray was killed in a horrific accident that has sent shockwaves through the local community.
According to preliminary reports, WPC Mansaray was performing her duties at the designated checkpoint when she was struck by a heavy-duty vehicle. Witnesses describe a harrowing scene as a Mercedes-Benz tipper truck reportedly ran over the officer.
The driver of the vehicle has been allegedly identified as Mustapha Jalloh. Law enforcement agencies are currently working to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision and are actively pursuing the investigation into the driver’s alleged actions.
The police have launched a full-scale inquiry into the incident. While the suspect has been identified, the finalization of the charges remains the primary focus of the regional command.
