The Presiding Magistrate at the Magistrate Court of Port Loko has reportedly sentenced Musa Bangura and Abass Bangura to nine months imprisonment each or a fine of One Thousand Five Hundred Leones following their guilty plea to three traffic-related offences.
The matter was heard on Monday, 16th February 2026, where the two accused persons, Musa Bangura and Abass Bangura, were arraigned before the court on three counts: parking in the middle of the road, obstruction of traffic, and carrying goods and passengers above the permitted height and capacity.
According to the prosecution, their actions disrupted the smooth flow of traffic and posed potential danger to other road users. When the charges were read and explained to them in court, both accused persons pleaded guilty to all three counts without hesitation.
Delivering his ruling, magistrate Patrick Fofana imposed a sentence of three months imprisonment or a fine of Five Hundred Leones on each count. The sentences amount to a total of nine months imprisonment or an alternative fine of One Thousand Five Hundred Leones for each accused.
