The Government of Sierra Leone has renewed the appointment of Andrew Bob Johnny as Statistician General of Statistics Sierra Leone for another three-year term.
According to an official press release, the renewal follows the expiration of his current tenure on 31 March 2026, with the new term set to take effect from 1 April 2026.
The letter states that the decision was approved by Julius Maada Bio in accordance with Section 5(1) of the Statistics Sierra Leone Act 2002. The President reportedly expressed satisfaction with Johnny’s continued leadership of the institution.
The renewed appointment will run for another three-year period, while the existing terms and conditions of service remain unchanged.
Statistics Sierra Leone serves as the country’s official agency responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of statistical data to support national planning, policy formulation, and development monitoring.
