Mustapha Kpaka, a tiler and laborer, has appeared before Magistrate Julian Mary Gbloh on a charge of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to court documents, the alleged incident occurred on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at No. 9 Old Railway Line, Tengbeh Town in Freetown’s Western Area. Kpaka is accused of stealing one ton of five-eighth iron rods and other assorted items valued at 93,000 Leones.
The items are said to belong to Abundant Life Faith Ministry International Church.
When the charge was read and explained to him, Kpaka pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutor Sergeant 5598 served the accused with witness statements.
Magistrate Gbloh refused bail and ordered Kpaka remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The case was adjourned to March 6, 2026.
