The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA), in collaboration with Dycar Business and Financial Services, has launched a comprehensive debt recovery and revenue mobilisation initiative targeting postpaid electricity customers with long-standing arrears.
According to EDSA, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen revenue collection, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure sustainable electricity service delivery across the country.
As part of the exercise, authorised Dycar agents will conduct field visits to engage customers with outstanding balances. EDSA urges all affected customers to settle their arrears promptly and cooperate fully with the authorised agents.
Customers are advised to make payments only through designated EDSA bank accounts or approved payment platforms by EDSA and Dycar. Proof of payment must be properly documented and submitted to ensure accurate reconciliation and updating of customer records.
EDSA warned that failure to comply may result in disconnection of electricity supply. Persistent non-compliance could also lead to legal action under the Electricity Act of 2011. The authority further encourages all customers to pay their current electricity bills promptly.
