The National Secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC), under the authority of the National Secretary General, has issued a formal public notice announcing the conduct of rerun ward elections scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026.
According to the statement, details of the specific wards and designated polling centers where the rerun elections will take place will be officially republished on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
The Secretariat has called on all stakeholders—including aspirants, party officials, and members—to prepare accordingly and to conduct themselves in line with the APC Constitution (2022), established electoral guidelines, and all applicable regulations governing internal party elections.
Reaffirming its commitment to a credible process, the APC emphasized that the rerun elections will be conducted in a free, fair, transparent, and orderly manner, under the supervision of relevant party structures and in compliance with internal rules.
The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the Inspector General of Police of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have been formally notified to provide the necessary support to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
The notice takes immediate effect, and the party is urging full cooperation from all members and stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the rerun elections.
