ECSL Chief Pays Courtesy Visit to Indian High Commissioner

The Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL), Mr. Edmond Sylvester Alpha, has paid a courtesy visit to the Indian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, His Excellency Baisnab Charan Pradhan.

Mr. Alpha, accompanied by senior colleagues from the Commission, held discussions with the High Commissioner aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and deepening institutional cooperation between the ECSL and the Indian High Commission.

Central to the engagement was a shared commitment to promoting credible, transparent, and inclusive elections in Sierra Leone. Both parties also explored potential collaboration with the Electoral Commission of India, particularly in areas such as electoral management, capacity building, and the exchange of best practices.

The visit highlights the ECSL’s ongoing efforts to engage international partners in enhancing the integrity and effectiveness of the country’s electoral processes.
