Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources (MMMR) and the National Mineral Agency (NMA), is scheduled to host the 2026 ADPA & Mining Week in Freetown from May 19th to May 23rd, 2026, at the Freetown International Conference Centre.
This event follows the inaugural edition held in 2025. According to the ministry, this year’s event will also host the 11th African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The event will be held under the theme “Our Mineral Resources: Responsible Mining, Value Multiplication, and Shared Prosperity,” bringing together stakeholders from across the mining sector to discuss development, challenges, innovations, and opportunities within the Sierra Leone mining industry.
Furthermore, the primary objective of the event, according to the Ministry, is to position Sierra Leone as a premier investment destination by showcasing its mineral resource potential and commitment to responsible mining, and the week-long programme will also include an exhibition showcasing mining technologies, equipment, and services.
Additionally, the event aims to serve as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among participants while also providing opportunities for panel discussions and business partnerships.
Finally, Registration is ongoing; for further details regarding the program agenda and participation, can be accessed at www.events.nma.gov.sl.n
