The Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI) has announced that its Chief Executive, Abdul M. Fatoma, will serve as Guest Speaker at the 2nd Annual General Meeting of The Lawyers’ Society.

According to CHRDI, Fatoma is expected to deliver a keynote address focusing on the theme: “Institutional Independence and Reforms: Pillars of Democracy.” His presentation will highlight the importance of strong, independent institutions in promoting accountability, upholding the rule of law, and sustaining democratic governance.

The meeting is anticipated to bring together legal practitioners and stakeholders to engage in discussions aimed at strengthening democratic principles and advancing institutional reforms in Sierra Leone.

The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 8th April 2026, at 10:00 AM at the New Brookfields Hotel.

CHRDI expressed optimism that the gathering will foster meaningful dialogue and contribute to ongoing efforts to reinforce democratic values and institutional integrity across the country.
